Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Attending board meetings and assisting with board related duties
  • Assisting with group tours/coordination
  • Developing databases of traveling groups and associations
  • Assist with Tourism Partner updates
  • Provides an outstanding welcome and excellent service to all individuals, groups, and VIP's;
  • Answers phones, greets walk-in visitors, and fulfills information request by callers and visitors to the Visitor Center, utilizing excellent communication skills and providing enthusiastic customer service;
  • Assists with events such as First Friday Farmers Market, Hot Nights Cool Tunes, and other City of Brenham sponsored events;
  • Produces welcome bags for groups, copying/folding brochures and fliers and assembly of Meetings/Weddings Planning Manuals;
  • Assists with Barnhill Center events;
  • Assists other staff as needed and performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Director.

Education and/or Experience High School graduation or its equivalent Experience in prior customer service preferred Must have a friendly disposition Must be able to stay calm in stressful, fast-paced situations

Skills/Ability To: Strong customer skills, ability to be flexible and multitask, responsible Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Valid Texas driver's license.
